3 Best Sports Bars at Disney World (Where to Watch Games)

We love Disney World, but I (Alex), also love sports. American sports. If it’s NFL Sunday or Monday Night Football, I gotta find a way to catch the game(s).

So for me personally, finding a good sports bar at Disney World was essential.

Some of you will remember the ESPN bar that sat on Disney’s Boardwalk. Those of you who don’t remember, it was what is now the Cake Bake Shop on the corner. That place was a superb sports bar, but it shut down during COVID and never reopened.

I was devastated.

Wings and football? That’s my sweet spot, and I’m lucky that Hannah is always keen on a plate of wings and a side of onion rings on game day. One of my favourite ways to unwind.

So with the ESPN bar closed for good and cake in its place, I had to pivot. So far, these are the three best places I’ve found.

  1. City Works at disney springs

Disney Springs was CRYING out for exactly what City Works is. It’s perfect, and in my opinion, it’s the best (and liveliest) place to watch a game at Disney.

There are a couple of other small spots where you can grab a beer at Disney Springs and sit in front of a game. Splitsville is one of them, so if you wanted to bowl and watch some baseball or an NFL game, etc., you can do so comfortably at Splitsville.

However, for pure sports bar vibes, wings, craft beer, and more TVs than a department store, City Works is the golden ticket.

We were in there for a primetime rivalry game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers (think Arsenal vs. Tottenham kind of rivalry), and it was superb.

We’ve also been in there on a regular night without a key game on, and even then the atmosphere was great.

We visited on our most recent trip, and our friend, Cassie, ordered the fish tacos. I’ve never seen tacos so big, three of them too. She took one home.

If you’re interested, the full menu is here.

Han and I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap. Our server warned us that this particular Nashville hot sauce was the devils work, and we might want it on the side. Now I like a little bit of spice, but I was glad we went with her suggestion. So keep that in mind. The Nashville hot is HOT.

The above image actually doesn’t do that wrap justice. It’s big. There’s a reason you don’t get piles of fries.

We love City Works so much that we visited twice on our most recent trip, taking Uncle Ady and Auntie T with us the second time. High praise all round from our party again, for huge portion sizes, good quality food, and a sauce that should most definitely be taken on the side. Thank me later.

2. Geyser Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

The inspiration for this post came from the previous post titled ‘five hidden gems’ at Disney World.

If you watch our videos, you’ll have heard us talk about this place many times before, and for a long time, pronounce the word Geyser entirely wrong.

Now that we’ve got that figured out, Geyser (guy-ser) Point is one of our favourites.

For starters, the location is outstanding. It’s at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge resort, down by the lake, with a scenic view of the moonlight hitting the water. If you linger for long enough, you’ll see the all-time classic electrical water pageant go right past in the evenings.

It’s an open-air bar in a wooden lodge-type setting, which just has such a nice feel to it. We love it.

The view from the waterfront outside of Geyser Point.

Hannah always orders the Bison Burger, and she loves it. In her words, it gets ‘absolutely housed’ every time. I’ve gone for wings off the starter menu, the crispy chicken sandwich, and don’t sleep on the turkey BLT.

Geyser is a much smaller establishment than City Works, and the food is more ‘bar food’ portions. Still more than enough, but less than City Works.

Still, we’ve always had incredible service, and it’s a lovely place to unwind at the end of a busy park day, with tv screens wrapped around the bar in the centre.

One thing to keep in mind. If you’re driving, Geyser Point can be a little difficult to get to. If you’re not aware, you can no longer just drive up to a Disney resort and head in, if you’re not staying at the property. You either need a booking or a restaurant reservation to get through the gate. However, Geyser doesn’t take bookings. Which is a bit of a pain.

If you’re not going too late in the evening, you can leave your car at Disney Springs and take the bus. But if you’re doing that, you could just go to City Works. Something to think about.

On the flipside, if you’re using Disney transportation, you’re in the Magic Kingdom area anyway, or you’re used to calling Ubers or Lyfts, you’ll have no trouble at all. The car thing is just a bit of an awkward loophole with the Disney property parking system.

3. Rix Sports bar and grill at Disney’s coronado springs

Now, one small caveat, we haven’t eaten at Rix Sports Bar, yet.

When we stayed at Coronado Springs in 2025, I made sure I went and found this place to scope it out, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how big it was, and how well covered the restaurant is with accessible TVs for various sports games.

In my opinion, Disney undersells this place. It doesn’t get anywhere near enough love, and when you look it up online there isn’t enough coverage of what it actually looks like or how well it serves its purpose.

The reason I scoped it out was that I had no idea how many TVs it had or what the setup inside was like. After walking through and checking it out, it’s a place I would 100% visit to watch a game, or sit and indulge in a plate of wings on an NFL Sunday.

However, the only knock on Rix is the location. Coronado Springs is one of only a couple of Disney resorts that feel further away from everything else. It’s not crazy far, but it can feel like a bit of a journey to get to. I also think you’d run into the same issue as Geyser Point if you tried to drive in as a non-resort guest.

I will be trying it out and reporting back on our next trip, as the place gets really good reviews from those that have visited.

4. Bonus - Buffalo Wild Wings

Now, not on Disney property, but I love going to a Buffalo Wild Wings, also known as B-Dubz.

If you want the authentic American sports bar experience, with so many TVs you can barely think, and every game being played around the country within eye shot from your table, you can’t go wrong.

If you do have a car or you’re using Uber/Lyft, there is a Buffalo Wild Wings less than a 15-minute drive from Disney property. It is outside of the Disney bubble, so keep that in mind, but Hannah and I love it, and visit regularly while in Florida.
